Brigsby: I'm unaligned, so I don't care Heronius_Napalm: I'm not talking about the murders, its the lying afterwards. Wilco: That too Wilco: Well really Wilco: once we get down Poen: Please don't kill me. Wilco: We should just kill the rest of them Wilco: We won't Heronius_Napalm: don't metagame Heronius_Napalm: But we need to deal with the sentient races here Wilco: Igfig wouldn't let us just kill him Heronius_Napalm: so it's unlikely that we would. Heronius_Napalm: find a game reason not to. Yin: Thorn is probably getting sick of the jackalweres, they're a poor excuse for pack hunters far as he's seen. Heronius_Napalm: I've been sick of them since before I laid eyes on them. Heronius_Napalm: Heronius is in no mood for this shit today. Yin: And he certainly wasn't intending on hunting any sentients today, maybe vermin or something, that was what I had been thinking. Yin: Junkyard and all. Brigsby: I like puppies Yin: Puppies are cute. Yin: Baby sloths are ridiculously cute. Brigsby: I guess since I was on Thorn's back, I sortof saw them as Gnoll puppies in a stupid way Yin: Ah I see. Yin: What about the whole them tearing a human to pieces in front of you thing? Heronius_Napalm: That should have some influence dreyrugr_nott: Drey really doesn't have a problem with these guys aside from the fact that they're about to kill the guy Yin: I think they already did. Heronius_Napalm: He is already quite dead. dreyrugr_nott: Ah Brigsby: Yeah, I think I lost my liking for them when I watched them eat a dude dreyrugr_nott: Then that's my only problem with them Heronius_Napalm: I could also stick the fountain of flame at the base of the stairs and they take 5 damage if they come after us. Heronius_Napalm: weed out the weak ones. dreyrugr_nott: Holy shit that could work Poen: Hey, so do I pick one of the powers and target it at the jackalweres? Brigsby: Are you guys up the stairs already? Brigsby: Yes Heronius_Napalm: not yet Yin: No we're still int eh lobby. dreyrugr_nott: They're not even close Brigsby: on your turn Yin: With many many staircases between us. dreyrugr_nott: Hell, the only reason they know about us being in trouble is because of the bang and my screams Heronius_Napalm: I could try to scare the ones in the lobby away. Heronius_Napalm: with lights and sounds. Yin: Hey I have ghost sound, I could help. Heronius_Napalm: do you? Yin: Yup. Yin: Butcher's Lure gnoll racial feat. Yin: I get a bonus to bluff when I use it too. Wilco: What about the ones in the lobby? Wilco: You should set the fire shield at the entrance to the building Yin: That is who we're talking about right now. Wilco: so it traps them all Wilco: and our ranged attacks can get rid of them Wilco: oh Wilco: u Yin: Yes, let's trap them in the building with us. Wilco: After we leave I mean Wilco: They always follow behind us after all Heronius_Napalm: I could set the building on fire. Yin: They'll probably go up the stairs after everyone else over following us outside. Wilco: I don't think we should light the whole thing on fire Yin: The stairs are concrete too, not sure if the building is particularly flammable. Wilco: I thought the flame shield was magical, and didn't need fuel Yin: I'm referring to the setting the building on fire statement. Wilco: okay Heronius_Napalm: It is a fountain of flame. Heronius_Napalm: not a shield Wilco: Does it hurt anyone who tries to go through that spot? Heronius_Napalm: just enemies Yin: It's a fountain of flame, what do you think? Heronius_Napalm: I am really good at magic. Wilco: I had to make sure Yin: Still, kinda figures. Yin: All of the worlds in space. Yin: The first one we go to is a semi-post apocalyptic junkyard wasteland with scavenging werebeasts prowling it. Heronius_Napalm: Like I said, fallout. Yin: Oh hey, building is only 3 stories tall. Which is tall, but not as tall as I thought it was. Brigsby: Maybe the next one we go to will be an idyllic forest full of dancing ponies? Yin: Who will probably breath fire, again. Brigsby: we handled them before Wilco: Back when we were terrible Yin: Yarp yarp, I'm just saying. I'm not sure what I'm saying. Wilco: I'm sure we could tame them again dreyrugr_nott: We could ride them everywhere dreyrugr_nott: And it would be awesome dreyrugr_nott: Should I just attack the jackles? Heronius_Napalm: yes dreyrugr_nott: Or retreat Heronius_Napalm: of course you should Heronius_Napalm: murders Wilco: Come to the stairs Wilco: so they can't surround you Heronius_Napalm: they have the taste of blood on them now. Yin: Also hey Hero, guess what just happened. Heronius_Napalm: ? Yin: The last armored guy ran off leaving us squishies down with the big group of jackles. Heronius_Napalm: That is to be expected really. Wilco: That is why we are killing the ones up there Yin: Yeah. Brigsby: have fun with 20 vicious dogs! Wilco: then coming down, and suddenly, burning building Brigsby: I might jump off the edge Heronius_Napalm: They should at least learn to keep 1 armored one with us Wilco: you are three stories up dreyrugr_nott: I was going to do that Wilco: and a squishy mage Brigsby: I have a jetpack Wilco: oh Wilco: fuck yeah Heronius_Napalm: oh right Yin: I wonder if I can weaponize my jetpack. Yin: Point it at the door and let it rip. Heronius_Napalm: probably 1d8 or 1d10 dreyrugr_nott: But can you use it? Brigsby: it just lets you fly your movement speed, and you have to be in free-fall when you use it Yin: Oh, well so much for that idea then. Brigsby: Ig updated it on the wiki Yin: Alright, I shall have to add that to my sheet then. Yin: Oh neat it gives bonuses to some defenses too. Brigsby: yep, +1 to all except AC Brigsby: which is good, my fort was terrible Yin: So... does that go into armor/ability, probably armor/ability, or probably not. Yin: Maybe miscelaneous. Yin: Probably miscellaneous. Brigsby: misc Brigsby: Or enhancement Brigsby: but plothook wouldn't add enhancement for me, for some reason Brigsby: so I just put it in misc Brigsby: as long as it gets added Yin: I'll just put it in misc too. Yin: And now my reflex defense is higher then my AC. Heronius_Napalm: that is expected in a rogue Yin: Maybe. Heronius_Napalm: poen, on your sheet is says you are trained in arcana Wilco: Well Wilco: Ya'll ready to fuck some dogs up? Heronius_Napalm: uncheck that box and check the one next to dungeoneering. Heronius_Napalm: because you could not have arcana trained; Yin: Just in time for her to go get cake. Wilco: Why not? What class is he? Heronius_Napalm: Cleric Heronius_Napalm: Arcana is for wizards and mages Wilco: I think clerics can get-- oh Wilco: okay Heronius_Napalm: and even then Heronius_Napalm: it would be superfluous Yin: We have enough arcana people at this point. Heronius_Napalm: because I know all of the magic. Wilco: wow, these things are REALLY weak Heronius_Napalm: I told you, the weak ones are minions Yin: Minions most of them, some of them aren't though. Brigsby: Yes she can Heronius_Napalm: but there are a few brutes among them. Brigsby: I made the character in the CB Heronius_Napalm: How about, taking arcana is stupid and a waste of the trained skill? Yin: Hero was suggesting against it cause we already have people very skilled in that skill. Heronius_Napalm: While her dungeoneering would be the highest of anyone. Brigsby: eh, that's true Heronius_Napalm: Which would be very useful. Brigsby: I didn't know who in the party was good at that or not Heronius_Napalm: Me Heronius_Napalm: I am the best at magic. Yin: And space. dreyrugr_nott: Brigsby just became dog food Heronius_Napalm: you let it happen. dreyrugr_nott: I got between him and the dogs Yin: Just 15 damage, bloodied possibly, he'll be fine. Maybe. Brigsby: Time for me to escape off the side of the roof Heronius_Napalm: finish your murders first. Heronius_Napalm: Dont you have a burst or something? Brigsby: actually, yes Brigsby: and I'm not bloodied Yin: Even better. Brigsby: I can kill all of them with a burst next turn, hopefully Brigsby: then fly away Yin: Why not just take the stairs? Brigsby: I mean actually fly Wilco: because jetpacks are cooler Heronius_Napalm: becasue jetpack Brigsby: it's part of the power Yin: Works for me. Brigsby: no Brigsby: without the jetpack Brigsby: I can just magically fly Wilco: oh Brigsby: it's part of my new power Yin: Then.... why do you have a jetpack? Brigsby: Because it's cool Yin: Works for me. Brigsby: and the flying is only part of one of my encounters dreyrugr_nott: 1W + STR mod damage. Until the end of your next turn, the target's space and each square adjacent to it are filled with spikes. Any enemy that enters this spike filled area or starts it turn there takes 5 damage. dreyrugr_nott: Daaaaaaaamn son. They just got frucked Brigsby: yeah, they're minions so they're dead Yin: So looks like Brigsby won't have to do anything for them to die actually. Brigsby: Nah, but I did anyway dreyrugr_nott: You should jumped off dreyrugr_nott: And activated your jet pack dreyrugr_nott: Like a badass Brigsby: Nah, session is over Brigsby: besides, there's no reason to now Wilco quit. Igfig: these jetpacks only work in space Yin: Oh, darn. Yin: Ah well, bonus to defenses anyways. Igfig left #pwot_dnd2. Heronius_Napalm quit. Brigsby: I thought it said you had to be in free fall? Brigsby: er, not you, the site Yin: It does say free-fall. Yin: I guess he meant space-fall. Brigsby: True Brigsby: Oh well, better than nothing [The jetpacks do actually work in any free fall - I wasn't thinking straight. They aren't powerful enough to fight gravity, but if you're falling you can use the jetpack to help steer. You'll still take full falling damage, but you might be able to land somewhere safer. --Igfig]
