Aryanni_Sanguine: ignore the backstory stife, it's shitty and must change, I was on a lame kick that night Minur_Deepdelve: Sudden realization, all of us are defenders. Strife_II: Oh really? I... hmm. I don't have anything else ready. Strife_II: Eh, it might work. Minur_Deepdelve: *shrug* Minur_Deepdelve: It'll go as it will. Minur_Deepdelve: You're part leader though so that'll definitely help. Strife_II: yup Strife_II: and I have near-striker damage Strife_II: I like flexible characters. Strife_II: Minur, can you link your sheet? Draegli joined #pwot_dnd2. Strife_II: Yeah, I definitely won't do as well with all these defenders Strife_II: My tactics depend on making enemies attack me Draegli: what class are you? Strife_II: Fighter | Runepriest Draegli: I'm just full Runepriest Draegli: I guess this is the Defender/Leader group Strife_II: OH really? Nice. Strife_II: Runepriests are great, I just wish they'd give them more support Strife_II: And I suppose I should make a striker/controller for next time Draegli: Or I could just switch to Adam if we need a striker Strife_II: Draegli's already here, right? Strife_II: And Adam's on Eberron or something? Draegli: Yeah, that's true Draegli: I figured this wasn't all that serious though, is this counting as an actual "canon" thing? Strife_II: I don't know Strife_II: Ideally, everything would be canon Strife_II: Uh... did the map disappear? Strife_II: I finally got into Scribblar, but the map itself is gone Draegli: yeah, it's saying connection lost Aryanni joined #pwot_dnd2. Aryanni quit. Sanguine joined #pwot_dnd2. Aryanni_Sanguine quit. Strife_II: We never did finish that Let's Play Draegli: I haven't played DF in a long time Strife_II: I'm tempted to take a weekend and just play one more year of it to finish everything up Strife_II: the next version looks incredible Draegli: I'm afraid that if I start playing again I'll get sucked in again Draegli: What's in the next version? Strife_II: oh god, so much Strife_II: cities Strife_II: all the night creatures Strife_II: magic Strife_II: a lot of caravan arc stuff Strife_II: books Draegli: wait, I forgot the ACTUAL question Draegli: how much of that will work as intended? Draegli: and/or screw up something that already exists Strife_II: Well, of course it'll be terribly buggy at first Strife_II: in I expect hilarious ways Strife_II: but most of this stuff is for Adventure Mode, Legends, and trade. Draegli: ah, ok Draegli: I didn't touch Adventure Mode for a long time, but when I did it was a lot of fun Draegli: just straight up murdering cheetahs in horrible ways Strife_II: yeah, I have a hard time playing Dwarf Mode because I'm such a perfectionist Draegli: I'm kinda the same way Strife_II: but it's a lot easier to take Losing is Fun in stride as an adventurer Draegli: I just like controlling the one guy Draegli: DF Mode has way too much micromanagement for my taste Strife_II: my favourite adventurer was a human ninja woman Draegli: especially after a couple migrations Draegli: I always just make a dwarf axe person Strife_II: double longswords, no armour, super stealth Strife_II: assassinated a roc Draegli: I get murdered by swarms of boogeymen every time Draegli: but I take half of them with me Strife_II: then climbed a mountain, blundered into a yak, and got trampled to death Strife_II: Boogeymen are great later on, because they give lots of XP and are really small Draegli: I downloaded Gemclod so I could try and reclaim its lost treasure in Adventure Mode Strife_II: but before that, you really need to sleep in towns Draegli: Yeah, I figured that part out. Strife_II: That sounds fun. Draegli: It is, it just literally takes 10 minutes to load up when you get there Draegli: there's that much stuff Strife_II: Reclaiming other people's treasures is great. I went and explored Headshoots once Strife_II: it was crazy Strife_II: yeah, the scattering Strife_II: bins are really important Draegli: The worst thing about exploring Gemclod is that the final few overseers just completely blocked off every entrance imaginable Draegli: To get in you literally have to swim down to the bed of the river, into an underwater tunnel, through the underwater canals, and then up into some random passageway that you have to break out of Strife_II: Oh yeah, that sucks Strife_II: Fake entrances are also terrible Draegli: There weren't any fake entrances, it's just that the main one was blocked by a lake of lava, multiple walls, and an alligator aquarium Draegli: also I couldn't figure out how to work the hatches on the roof Draegli: that would have made it easier, I think Strife_II: probably a lever inside the place Strife_II: but the fake entrances are from my experiences with Headshoots Draegli: there were lots of levers on the roof, I figured one of those would have worked Draegli: but I guess not Draegli: well, while we're on break, HOLY BALLS MASS EFFECT 3 HAS 4 PLAYER CO-OP Strife_II: ah, so that's the big announcement Draegli: it's a separate part, you don't play as Shepard. Let me pull up the thing real quick Draegli: http://social.bioware.com/forum/1/topic/323/index/8481789/1 Strife_II: That looks interesting Strife_II: I like how the co-op and single player campaigns interact Draegli: I'm just excited that you make a separate custom character for it Draegli: and you can be different races Draegli: Turian all the way Strife_II: reminds me of how the new EVE FPS works with the existing MMO Sanguine: That did looke most interesting, dust 141 yes? Strife_II: Dust something, yeah Sanguine: Intruiging, I was sad to learn its only on ps3, cant wait for me3 though, been waiting for coop for ages
